My Brave Pumpkin!

I carve a pumpkin every year. In fact, I'll likely be ninety, sorrounded by my many cats, and still scooping pumpkin guts.

I'm far from the best pumpkin carver in the world however and usually wind up triangle eyes and a smile for a mouth.

I've thought about trying to do those pumpkin carving kits with the stencils, but even that seemed beyond me. Plus it takes forever just for the simple face, (in my case at least) and patience was never my strong suit.

Yet when I saw the pumpkin stenciles on the Brave site I decided to give it a whirl. You can see them here. I picked the A as it looked the easiest for my level of skill.. and here is the result of my labors....

Feel free to post your own pumpkins. I would love to see your work.

  1. Nicely done! I wanted to do one of the Diamondback ones, but my 3 year old vetoed it. Instead we have Scar from the Lion king, and a triangle traditional one. Plus in Los Angeles, a D-back Jack-o-lantern may have a really short life expectancy.

  3. Thanks guys.

Scar makes for a cool pumpkin. Sad that the D'backs pumpkin would not have lasted. I am glad I don't live around a lot of people... or in New York. I would have likely gotten stoned to death up there.
